Parks and Recreation (season 4)

{5/5} “Turns out when you think the world’s ending you don’t aim so carefully in the porta potties.”

Leslie runs for city council, a dream of hers since she was a child — Ben is her campaign manager and her other friends all help out too. Ron’s first ex-wife pays a visit, Andy takes a women’s studies class, and everyone forgets Jerry’s birthday. The Parks budget is going to be cut, and worshippers of the god Zorp predict the end of the world.

Parks and Recreation season 4 originally aired in 2011-2012. As with season 3, it’s screamingly funny.

This show has become one of my favourite comedies — it’s now in the same class as Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Raising Hope, and New Girl.¬†Every episode is hilarious.

Paul Rudd (I Love You, Man) plays Bobby Newport, who runs against Leslie for city council. Kathryn Hahn (the TV show Crossing Jordan) plays Jennifer Barkley, Newport’s campaign manager.

Alison Becker (the TV show Dating Rules from My Future Self) plays Shauna Malwae-Tweep, a newspaper reporter Leslie occasionally talks with. Jay Jackson (Battleship) plays Perd Hapley, a TV host whose show Leslie occasionally appears on.
