16 Blocks

{4.5/5} “I believe life’s too long and guys like you make it even longer.”

Detective Jack Mosley is tired after working all night. His lieutenant gives him one last task — take a witness from jail over to the courthouse. It’s only 16 blocks — what could go wrong? The witness is Eddie, who’s very talkative. When people come after Eddie to kill him, Jack is very surprised to find out who’s behind it. Jack must use his knowledge of the neighbourhood to keep Eddie alive.

16 Blocks was released in 2006.

It’s exciting and different — I encourage you to check it out.

The look Bruce Willis gives the old man when he recognizes “Yu-Gi-Oh!” is priceless.

It’s a great movie — main actors Bruce Willis, Mos Def, and David Morse all do a terrific job.

Bruce Willis (RED 2) plays Jack and Mos Def (Be Kind Rewind) plays Eddie. David MorseĀ (The Green Mile) plays Frank, a police officer who’s a friend of Jack’s.

The movie was directed by Richard Donner (Ladyhawke, Conspiracy Theory, Maverick).
