22 Jump Street

{2/5} “The Koreans bought the church back, so we had to move across the street… to 22 Jump Street.”

22 Jump Street, released in 2014

Schmidt and Jenko are cops who are undercover at a university where they’re investigating the source of a dangerous new drug. They’re being drawn apart, Jenko towards football and Schmidt toward a young woman who has the same last name as their captain. This is the dumbest movie I’ve seen in a long time. There are parts that are watchable but there are other parts where you can feel your brain cells slipping away. At best it’s mildly amusing. I haven’t seen the first one, but I’m not going to rush out and watch it. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum star. Directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller.

I previously reviewed Lord and Miller’s movie The Lego Movie.
