Star Trek: Foul Deeds Will Rise

{4/5} Star Trek: Foul Deeds Will Rise by Greg Cox, published in 2014

The Enterprise is summoned to a system where two planets, Pavak and Oyolo, have been at war and are attempting to make peace. An ambassador is aboard to help broker a treaty — that ambassador is Kevin Riley. When Kirk is on Oyolo he’s surprised to run into someone from the past — Lenore Karidian. Now going under a different name, Lenore had attempted to kill Kirk 20 years ago. Is she much better now? This novel takes place after Star Trek V. It’s enjoyable, but not quite as interesting as most Star Trek novels I’ve ready lately.

I previously reviewed Cox’s novel No Time Like the Past.
