Motive (season 2)
{4.5/5} “All that time in undercover. Pretending to be someone else. Telling lies like they’re the truth. Having to believe they are the truth. Sometimes I wonder… if I can really believe anything you say.”
Motive season 2, aired in 2014
What would make a person who seems normal murder someone? It doesn’t make sense until you know the motive. Angie’s ex-boyfriend Mark is now her new team leader, which she’s not very happy about. In one case the victim is Stan, a medical examiner who was Betty’s friend and mentor. In another case an author is poisoned by the person whose book she stole.
There’s a bit of an ongoing storyline. Angie and Mark were partners as police officers and they’ve been keeping a secret for 10 years. This storyline culminates in the season finale, which ends on a sort of cliffhanger.
This continues to be a great show — every episode is worth watching.
Stars Kristin Lehman.
I previously reviewed season 1.
