Death Becomes Her
{4.5/5} “I will not speak to you ’til you put your head on straight.”
Death Becomes Her, released in 1992
Madeline and Helen are each other’s nemesis. They’re both after eternal youth, and they’ve found it — from a mysterious woman with a potion. Ernest is a plastic surgeon who has trouble deciding which woman he wants to be with, Madeline or Helen.
Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep, and Bruce Willis are all very funny in this movie. And Isabella Rosellini is suitably mysterious.
It still holds up — I liked it a lot. It’s about vanity, revenge, and doing whatever it takes.
Directed by Robert Zemeckis (Flight). The playful music is by Alan Silvestri.
This is probably the 2nd time I’ve seen it.
