Aliens came to Earth and delivered a brief message: anyone who wanted to come aboard their ship could do so. Now the people are on the ship, wondering when they’ll meet the aliens — and wondering why they lost two and a half hours. There’s a young artist who’s pregnant, a woman with medical training who brought her cat, an older blind woman, 10 people from the army, and a man from NASA.
I love the premise, and the interesting characters and situations kept me reading.
It’s about dealing with strangely reticent aliens. It’s about figuring out how to do science, morals, and politics in a new situation.
This is the 2nd book by Sinclair I’ve read. I previously read and enjoyed Blueheart.
