How to Train Your Dragon Homecoming

{5/5} “And then it hit me.”

How to Train Your Dragon Homecoming, released in 2019

It’s been 10 years since humans and dragons parted ways. Hiccup and Astrid decide to put on a pageant — to show their kids what it was like to live with dragons, and to show them what their grandfather Stoick was like. When Gobber writes the script, he takes some liberties. Meanwhile, Toothless’s children decide to pay Berk a visit.

This short is delightful in every way. Both the characters you know and the new ones are written splendidly, the situation fits in with what we know, and it’s very funny.

Fans of the series will want to watch it immediately.

Stars the voices of Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, and Craig Ferguson. Directed by Tim Johnson (Antz). The music by Anthony B. Willis beautifully uses themes from John Powell.
