The Good Place (season 4)

{5/5} “What matters isn’t if people are good or bad. What matters is if they’re trying to be better today than they were yesterday.”

The Good Place season 4, aired in 2019-20

A new experiment is running, with the Bad Place having sent 4 humans to the neighbourhood. Eleanor, Tahani, Jason, Michael, and Janet are trying to get these humans to improve. So is Chidi, but he has had his memory wiped because his ex Simone is one of the 4. The fate of humanity is on the line, and the Judge is judging.

This is the last season, and the finale was beautiful.

It might not have been as laugh-out-loud funny as previous seasons but the story was still brilliant.

One more quotation: “When something dope comes along you gotta lock it down. If you’re always frozen in fear and taking too long to think about what to do, you’ll miss your opportunity and maybe get sucked into the propeller of a swamp boat.”

Marc Evan Jackson plays Shawn and Jason Mantzoukas plays Derek. Lisa Kudrow guest stars in one episode.

I previously reviewed season 3.
