The Croods: A New Age

{4.5/5} “Let’s jump more stuff.”

The Croods: A New Age, released in 2020

The Croods come across the Bettermans, who live in a giant treehouse and plant their own food. The Bettermans seem friendly, but what they really want is for Guy to get together with their daughter Dawn. And as for the Croods, they would be better off outside their walls. Meanwhile, Eep and Dawn are becoming best pals.

This is a sequel to The Croods.

It’s visually delightful, and full of laughs.

There’s some silliness but it’s mostly great. I like how the monkeys are able to learn everything that Phil demonstrates in front of them.

Stars the voices of Catherine Keener, Peter Dinklage, and Kelly Marie Tran. Directed by Joel Crawford (additional story artist on The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part). The music is by Mark Mothersbaugh.
