Ron’s Gone Wrong

{4/5} “A bird has commented on your face.”

Ron’s Gone Wrong, released in 2021

All of Barney’s classmates have a B-Bot, whose motto is “best friend out of the box.” He finally gets one for his birthday, which he’s very happy about. But his dad got one that had fallen off a truck, and it doesn’t work very well. Barney is going to take it back to the store to get a replacement, but on the way he kind of gets used to having it around.

This is a fun animated movie with a nice message.

It’s about friendship, and the dangers of social media.

It’s a good 1st movie from a brand new studio, but it pales in comparison to the similarly themed The Mitchells vs. the Machines.

Stars the voices of Jack Dylan Grazer, Zach Galifianakis, and Olivia Colman. Directed by Sarah Smith (Arthur Christmas), Jean-Philippe Vine (story artist on Inside Out), and Octavio E. Rodriguez (story artist on Incredibles 2). The music is by Henry Jackman.
