DS9 Millennium: The Fall of Terok Nor

{4.5/5} “When it comes down to a choice between forcing everyone to do their work according to Starfleet’s textbook definition of perfection, or having everyone do their own work in their own way, with respect for other people’s traditions and work habits, I have found it’s better for people to find their own way than to have it forced upon them by an unseen bureaucracy.”

Stark Trek: Deep Space Nine — Millennium: The Fall of Terok Nor by Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens, published in 2000

Quark is in protective custody on Deep Space Nine because a couple of Andorians want to kill him. He’s been dreaming about the day the Cardassians left the station but he can’t actually remember what happened that day. The Andorians think Quark murdered their colleague. Worf and Jadzia are on the holosuite reliving one of James T Kirk’s adventures when they discuss the murder. Worf thinks Quark did it, but Jadzia thinks he didn’t.

This is the start of a trilogy, and it ends in a cliffhanger.

It’s about Orbs that may or may not be real, and people who would like to get their hands on them. It reveals the real reason the Cardassians left the station behind.

Characters who show up include Vash and Vic Fontaine.

I’ve read 10 novels by the Reeves-Stevens. I previously reviewed one they wrote with William Shatner, Star Trek: The Ashes of Eden.
