Glass Onion

{5/5} “‘This never happens in Clue.’ ‘That’s because it’s a terrible game.'”

Glass Onion, released in 2022

Four people receive a box from billionaire Miles Bron, which contains a series of puzzles they work together to solve. When they get to the inside they find an invitation to his private island for a murder mystery. One other person gets a box and she gets to the inside by smashing it to pieces — that’s Andi, who used to work with Miles but was cut out of the company. In addition to his closes friends, Miles also invites detective Benoit Blanc.

This is a sequel to Knives Out — Benoit Blanc is the only character from the 1st movie to appear.

If you want to see a bunch of great actors act suspiciously, this is the movie for you.

I like how Andi’s diary is titled “Notes for future biographers.”

It makes good use of an extended flashback to show you what happened from another perspective.

It’s very funny in spots.

Yo-Yo Ma and Serena Williams have fun cameos.

Stars Daniel Craig, Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson, Edward Norton, and Dave Bautista. Directed by Rian Johnson (Knives Out). The mysterious music is by Nathan Johnson.
