Jason Bourne

{4.5/5} “I volunteered because I thought our enemies killed him. I volunteered because of a lie.”

Jason Bourne, released in 2016

Nicky Parsons has hacked into the CIA in order to reveal the black ops projects like Treadstone to the world. But the CIA caught her, and they’re tracking her every move. She also found information about Jason Bourne, and she meets him in Athens to share it with him. Bourne has been keeping a low profile, but his mere existence on their radar makes the CIA hunt him again.

Matt Damon appears as Jason Bourne for the 4th time — he last appeared in The Bourne Ultimatum.

I found this movie much more effective this time, having just watched the previous 4 movies in the series. My complaints from last time didn’t seem as important. On the other hand, one main character’s actions don’t seem completely logical in hindsight.*

I like how whenever Bourne is sitting at a computer looking for something, when he finds it he gets up instantly.

It’s about people who have different ideas about how best to defend their country. It’s about a world in which the number of people you can trust is much less than the number of people you can’t.

Stars Julia Stiles, Vincent Cassel, and Riz Ahmed. Directed by Paul Greengrass (News of the World). The music is by John Powell and David Buckley.

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it. My previous review is here.

The previous movie in the series is The Bourne Legacy.

Spoiler alert
