National Treasure: Book of Secrets
{4.5/5} “Just because you know what my answer’s going to be doesn’t mean you don’t have to ask me.”
National Treasure: Book of Secrets, released in 2007
Ben is presented with evidence that Thomas Gates, his great-great-grandfather, participated in the assassination of President Lincoln. He doesn’t believe it, and he’s going to find his own evidence to set things straight. He will need Riley’s help. He will also need to steal Abigail’s ID badge, because he needs to examine the diary of John Wilkes Booth.
The story might not be quite as iconic as the 1st one — but if you liked the 1st one you’ll want to watch this one.
It’s lots of fun.
Bruce Greenwood is perfect as the president. Helen Mirren and Jon Voight are delightful together.
Stars Justin Bartha, Ed Harris, and Ty Burrell. Directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure). Trevor Rabin provides the music once again.
This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it.
