Vivo is a kinkajou who fell off the back of a truck and was rescued by Andrés. The two of them perform together in the streets of Havana. When Andrés receives a letter, Vivo is stunned to discover that his friend used to have a different partner — a woman, Marta. Marta, now a famous singer, has invited Andrés to sing with her one last time in Miami. Vivo doesn’t want to leave his home, but he must help his friend.

This movie is beautifully animated, and has some terrific songs.

The characters of Gabi and the Sand Dollar girls are hilarious.

It’s about doing whatever it takes to fulfill your old friend’s final wish, and making new friends.

Stars the voices of Lin-Manuel Miranda, Zoe Saldana, and Gloria Estefan. Directed by Kirk DeMicco (The Croods) and Brandon Jeffords (storyboard artist on The Mitchells vs. the Machines). The music is by Alex Lacamoire, with songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
