Futurama (season 3)

{5/5} “Fry, stop interfering in history. I don’t want to have to memorize a lot of new kings when I get back.”

Futurama season 3, aired in 2001-02

When some worms infest Fry’s body and improve it, he’s finally able to articulate his feelings for Leela. After having met at the Titantic disaster, Amy and Kif start dating. Fry finds out that his brother, who was a bit of a pain, actually named his own son after him and he was the first man on Mars. When Leela gets surgery to have two eyes she starts dating the doctor, who she used to know at the orphanarium. Bender adopts 10 children thinking that the amount he gets from the government will be more than the cost of taking care of them.

It’s another season of hilarity and science fiction goodness.

One more quotation: “His restaurant was so high toned, the only way to get reservations was to create a parallel universe where you already had reservations.”

In “I Dated a Robot” Fry dates a robot who looks and sounds like Lucy Liu. In “Anthology of Interest II” Fry finds out what life would be like if it were like a video game. In “Roswell That Ends Well” the ship accidentally goes back in time to 1947 and ends up creating the Roswell UFO incident. In “Insane in the Mainframe” Fry is convinced that he is actually a robot.

As for “Godfellas” — in terms of science fictional ideas, it’s the best episode. Bender is floating through space when he becomes a god to tiny life forms living on his body.

Guest voices include Bea Arthur, Jan Hooks, and Lucy Liu.

Stars the voices of Tress MacNeille, David Herman, and Frank Welker.

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it.

I previously reviewed season 2.
