Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

{5/5} “It’s not a trap. It’s a face off.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, released in 2023

When Rocket is almost killed, the Guardians must track down the people who made him to turn off a kill switch. That leads them to the High Evolutionary, who’s trying to create a perfect world. Gamora is dead. But Past Gamora is around — she doesn’t remember her time with the Guardians, and she doesn’t remember that she loved Peter.

It’s visually stunning. If you haven’t seen a movie on the big screen lately, you might choose this one.

There are a bunch of flashbacks to when Rocket was first uplifted.

Peter and Groot fighting back to back is glorious.

It’s about what you can do when everyone on your team uses their unique skills in combination.

It’s an immensely satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, and teases further adventures with a new configuration of the Guardians.

Stars Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Nathan Fillion. Directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2). The music by John Murphy brings out the Guardians theme at the right time, and the pop music selections are top notch.
