Futurama (season 4)
{5/5} “‘Look, Bender, this has nothing to do with you.’ ‘That’s impossible.'”
Futurama (season 4), aired in 2002-03
When Bender dates the Planet Express ship, she goes a bit crazy when he breaks up with her. Leela finds out that she’s not actually an alien, she’s a mutant — and she finally meets her parents. When Bender gets an upgrade, he dreams that he washes up on a tropical island populated by outdated robots, and joins their community. When Leela and Fry use some mysterious cream Zoidberg gives them, it gives them powers — so they decide to become superheroes.
This was originally the last season, but it eventually returned with more episodes.
The best sight gag is when Nibbler takes Fry to his planet: “Planet Eternium — Inconceivable Dimensions Not Shown.”
In “Where No Fan Has Gone Before” an energy being has all the Star Trek actors on his planet and he’s making them act out his script. In “The Farnsworth Parabox” they find out that inside a box the professor has is a parallel universe where their counterparts have different hair colours. In “The Devil’s Hands Are Idle Playthings” Fry makes a deal with the Robot Devil so he can play the holophoner well in order to woo Leela.
Guest voices include Al Gore, William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Walter Koenig, Nichellle Nichols, and Goerge Takei.
This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it.
I previously reviewed season 3.
