Futurama: Bender’s Big Score

{4/5} “Finally, I get to save the Earth with deadly laser instead of deadly slide shows.” — Al Gore’s head

Futurama: Bender’s Big Score, released in 2007

After Professor Farnsworth falls prey to an email scam, he finds that aliens have taken over his company. Bender has downloaded a virus so he now obeys the aliens. When the aliens decide to go back in time and steal from more primitive people, they realize that their time sphere will only let them go one way and not return. Bender volunteers to go, as he can wait for hundreds of years until he catches up to the future.

In this movie the jokes are, on average, less funny than a typical episode.

One fun part is we see that in 2308 the ships that destroy New York while Fry is frozen are chasing Bender.

There are lots of side characters from the show who make appearances.

The time travel aspect and the identity of Lars are some of the best parts.

Stars the voices of Billy West, Katey Sagal, John DiMaggio, and Al Gore. Directed by Dwayne Carey-Hill (a bunch of episodes of Futurama). The music is by Christopher Tyng.

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it.

This movie follows season 4.
