Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

{4.5/5} “I’ll get you, my kitties, and your little dog too.”

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, released in 2022

Puss in Boots is a hero to some, a villain to others. While saving a town from a giant, he gets crushed by a bell. When he wakes up, the doctor warns him that he’s used up eight lives and he’s on his last one. The doctor suggests that Puss should retire, but of course he doesn’t want to. When a bounty hunter almost defeats him, he goes to a place where cats are welcome.

The animation is in a different style this time, but it is also delightful.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears are hilarious. I like how Big Jack Horner has Excalibur but it’s still attached to the rock.

It’s about someone who has grown as a cat.

Stars the voices of Florence Pugh and Olivia Colman. Directed by Joel Crawford (The Croods: A New Age) and Januel Mercado (head of story on The Croods: A New Age). The music is by Heitor Pereira.
