Star Trek: Lower Decks (season 4)

{5/5} “This ship is outdated and smells like Borg.” — T’Lyn, on the USS Voyager

Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4, aired in 2023

When the USS Voyager is being prepared to be a museum the crew of the Cerritos visits and they find it’s still a dangerous place. Mariner, Boimler, and Tendi all get promoted to lieutenant jr. grade — but Rutherford has already refused promotion and didn’t tell them. When Tendi goes home to Orion for her sister’s wedding, she reluctantly lets Mariner and T’Lyn go with her. Ferenginar under Grand Nagus Rom is hoping to join the Federation, and the Cerritos is there for the negotiations.

It’s another delightful season.

The way that episode 9 intersects with the TNG episode “Lower Decks” is startling but also makes perfect sense.

Guest stars include Max Grodénchik, Chase Masterson, Shannon Fill, (briefly) Wil Wheaton, and (in a different role this time) Robert Duncan McNeill.

Stars the voice of Gabrielle Ruiz.

I previously reviewed season 3.
