Beetlejuice

{4.5/5} “I’ve seen The Exorcist about 167 times and it keeps getting funnier every time I see it!”

Beetlejuice, released in 1988

Adam and Lydia are looking forward to a vacation at home when they die in a car accident. When they realize they’re dead, at first they think it’s not so bad. But then new people buy their house and start planning changes to it. They try to scare them but they’re not very scary. They need the help of an expert — they need Beetlejuice.

This is a fun movie with a nice look to it. The scenes in the underworld are particularly amusing.

Beetlejuice is a terrific character and Michael Keaton plays him to perfection.

Stars Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder. Directed by Tim Burton (Batman Returns). The soundtrack by Danny Elfman is glorious.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve seen it.
