Shrinking (season 2)

{5/5} “‘Do you think I have a big ego?’… ‘Well, let’s see. One time, you were so obsessed with work that you didn’t raise me for 18 years.'”

Shrinking season 2, aired in 2024

Jimmy’s client Grace is in jail for trying to kill her husband. Jimmy finds a lawyer for her but she’s not optimistic. Paul suggests that Jimmy try to be a more normal therapist, at least for now. Paul realizes that he’s in love with Julie, although he doesn’t want to be. Paul thinks Jimmy has failed with Sean and doesn’t want him to be his therapist any more. Gaby hasn’t had time to unpack in her new house, so Liz takes care of it with a little help.

It’s about trying to do better, and sometimes failing.

The storyline with Alice and the drunk driver is astonishing.

The season ends gloriously, with a 3rd season on the way.

Guest stars include Cobie Smulders and Damon Wayans Jr.

Stars Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Heidi Gardner.

I previously reviewed season 1.
