Salvation (season 1)

{5/5} “The way I see it, you’ve got two choices — tell me or kill me.”

Salvation season 1, aired in 2017

Liam, a student at MIT, is charting asteroids heading for Earth that other people aren’t looking at. When he finds a big one that’s going to hit in 186 days, he reaches out to tech mogul Darius Tanz. Tanz takes him to Washington DC right to the Department of Defense — it turns out they already know about it. And they’re working on it, or a few of them are who have clearance — they plan on fixing the problem without telling anyone. Tanz isn’t satisfied with that plan.

It’s about people who are trying to keep a secret, and other people who are trying to figure it out.

The story is top notch, and builds to a startling season finale.

Guest stars include Zuleikha Robinson, John Noble, and Dennis Boutsikaris.

Stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, and Shazi Raja.

Created by Elizabeth Kruger and Craig Shapiro (Necessary Roughness), and Matt JL Wheeler (writer on Hawaii Five-0).
