Wednesday (season 2)

{5/5} “Do not put me on a pedestal because I will burn it down.”

Wednesday season 2, aired in 2025

After tracking down a serial killer with Thing, Wednesday returns to Nevermore where she is once again rooming with Enid. Pugsley is going there this year too. Wednesday finds that she’s very popular — new kids even want her autograph. Principal Dort wants to return Nevermore to its glory days. And Wednesday’s stalker delivers a note by arrow.

It’s a bit gruesome here and there, but this season is lots of fun.

Finding out that Wednesday is actually allergic to colour and it wasn’t a metaphor is very funny. New kid Agnes is delightful, and has a nice arc.

The story builds to a superb conclusion, with a few threads left to ensure all will be back for another season.

Christopher Lloyd is always welcome anywhere but it’s particularly lovely to see him in an Addams show — he plays a professor who’s a head in a jar.

Guest stars include Haley Joel Osment, Thandiwe Newton, Fred Armisen, and Lady Gaga.

Stars Steve Buscemi, Joy Sunday, Evie Templeton, and Isaac Ordonez.

I previously reviewed season 1.
