Dickinson (season 3)

{4.5/5} “You have no power to change anything because you… you have no imagination.”

Dickinson season 3, aired in 2021

The civil war has started. Austin has been drinking a lot, and didn’t even make it to his Aunt Lavinia’s funeral. Sue is pregnant. She tells Emily that she wishes the two of them could raise the baby in their own house. Emily says that her poems are like her children. At a family dinner Austin drunkenly rails against his father — who has a heart attack. Emily visits a war hospital, and Henry gets a job teaching soldiers.

This is the last season, and it’s a great one. The writers were able to bring to a conclusion the story they were telling.

Stars Darlene Hunt, Jane Humphreys, and Samuel Farnsworth.

I previously reviewed season 2.
