Living with Yourself

{4.5/5} “Was that the credenza?”

Living with Yourself, aired in 2019

Miles has been feeling out of sorts, so he goes to a spa recommended by his coworker Dan. It turns out that the spa clones you and replaces you with your clone who is a better version of you — as for you, you’re killed. Of course, they don’t tell you that. Something goes wrong in the process and Miles isn’t killed — so he and his clone are both around. And both want to be with Kate, his wife.

This is a mini-series.

It’s not a laugh-a-lot comedy. It certainly has some humour, but it is a fairly serious exploration of the premise.

It’s worth watching for stars Paul Rudd and Aisling Bea. I like how the story includes how both versions of the man react to the situation as well as the wife.

Guest stars include Alia Shawkat.

Created by Timothy Greenberg (Wyatt Cenac’s Problem Areas).
