The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 1, aired in 2017
Midge marries the perfect man, Joel Maisel. He’s an aspiring comedian. She helps him by keeping track of how many laughs he gets and bribing the manager with food to get a better time slot. Then he reveals that he’s leaving her, and he’s been having an affair. She’s devastated, but the manager of the club tells her she should do stand-up herself as she’s the one who’s funny.
This is a very funny show about a woman in the 1950s who’s doing something different.
