Andy loses her job at the newspaper after many years. Miranda is in trouble because of a story that’s going viral — the people at one of her shops lied and it turned out to be a sweat shop. Miranda’s boss hires Andy to turn the story around. Of course, Miranda’s boss doesn’t tell Miranda about Andy. When they go to their most important advertiser, the person they’re meeting turns out to be Emily.
This is the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada.
It’s fun to spend some more time with these great characters. Andy and Nigel’s banter is delightful.
It’s about figuring out what your principles are in a ruthless world.
There a bunch of cameos — most of them you’ll miss if you blink, but Lady Gaga has a nice one. The best behind-the-scenes tidbit is that Meryl Streep called Lady Gaga to ask her.
