Batman: The Dark Knight — Master Race by Frank Miller & Brian Azzarello, published in 2018
Batman is seen for the first time in 3 years — now he’s defending people against the police. Commissioner Yindel manages to get her hands on what seems like Batman, but it’s Carrie aka Batgirl under the cape. Supergirl brings the city of Kandor to the Atom because the people are tired of being small. He manages to free them, all of them Kryptonians.
This story features Wonder Woman, Superman, and Green Lantern.
It’s a great story but doesn’t quite have the same brilliance as the previous two. For one thing, the antagonists aren’t as interesting.
One character changes sides. It’s not as bad as Star Wars Episode III but it’s not completely convincing.
There are some nice interactions between characters, and some important topics discussed.
The artwork is by people like Andy Kubert, Klaus Janson, and John Romita Jr.
