Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate

{4.5/5} “‘Look, I’m sorry. I’m just usually not um…’ ‘Dealing with the death of a dear friend while talking with a detective in the kitchen?'” — Goldy & Tom

Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate, released in 2022

Goldy is starting her own catering business, and her ex-husband Richard is looking for investors for a wellness centre. She’s catering an event at the school where their daughter Olive goes. When her old friend Laura, who’s the school counsellor, says she wants to talk to her later at her house Goldy is a bit concerned. When she’s on her way she discovers that Laura is dead — her car went over a cliff.

This is the 1st Curious Caterer mystery.

It pairs Goldy the caterer with Tom the police detective. They have a nice chemistry even in their earliest scenes.

The situation is serious but the show has a playful tone.

Stars Jason Schombing, Kendall Cross, and Jason Tremblay. Directed by Anthony C. Metchie (Francesca Quinn, PI).

I previously reviewed Curious Caterer: Grilling Season in this series.
