Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, released in 2026
Din Djarin and Grogu are working for the New Republic, tracking down people who still want to restart the Empire. His boss wants them brought in alive so that she can get information from them, but sometimes they end up dead. He is reluctant to help the Hutts but his next job is to find their nephew who has been kidnapped — and if he is returned they will tell him where to find a high-value target. The boss even gives them a refurbished ship.
This takes place after The Mandalorian season 3.
If you want to see the Mandalorian defeat a bunch of people, creatures, and droids this is the one for you. For me, this ended up being a bit repetitive.
Nonetheless, fans of the show will want to watch it. It’s always nice to see Weaver in a science fiction movie. And it’s always nice to see the Hutts who are gloriously despicable.
Paul Sun-Hyung Lee has a cameo, and if you listen carefully you might hear Anthony Daniels and Martin Scorsese.
Stars Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver. Directed by Jon Favreau (The Book of Boba Fett). Ludwig Göransson takes his Mandalorian theme from the show and weaves it through his score in interesting ways.
