American Hustle

{5/5} “You’re nothing to me until you’re everything.”

Irving and Syndey are con artists, who are caught by FBI agent Richie. Richie forces them, in lieu of going to jail, to help him catch bigger fish — politicians and mobsters. Irving has second thoughts when he grows to like one of the politicians he’s conning. Sydney has broken up with him but he’d rather be with her than his wife Rosalyn.

American Hustle was released in 2013.

Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, and Jennifer Lawrence are all mesmerizing — you won’t be able to take your eyes off them.

It’s a terrific story, one that’s very loosely based on real events.

It’s funny and engrossing.

The music is pop and jazz songs from the 70s.
