StarBridge 3: Shadow World

{4.5/5} “Interrelators study the laws, social customs, mores, taboos — all facets of the culture and the forces that shaped it. An interrelator’s goal is to be prepared to live on an alien world, as part of the diplomatic team. They learn to truly understand the point of view, the mind-set of another species.”

StarBridge 3: Shadow World by A. C. Crispin and Jannean Elliott, published in 1991

Eerin is an Elpind, the newest sentient species the CLS has discovered. While visiting StarBridge Academy he’s paired with Mark, a human student. Cara, a journalist, is on the asteroid to make a documentary, and she’s interested in the Elspind as well. They head off on a mission but their ship is hijacked.

It’s about understanding and respecting people who are different from you.

It’s another great entry in the series, adding more interesting aliens to the universe.

This is the 7th book I’ve read by Crispin, and the 1st by Elliott.

I previously reviewed the 2nd book in the series, Silent Dances.
