Deadpool & Wolverine

{4.5/5} “Want to talk about what’s haunting you, or should we wait for a third act flashback?”

Deadpool & Wolverine, released in 2024

Wade Wilson attempts to join the Avengers but Happy Hogan rejects him. Eventually he gets a job as a used car salesman. Then he gets hauled in to the Time Variance Authority. Because Wolverine died and he was the Anchor Being for his universe, the universe itself is dying. The guy at the TVA wants it to die, but offers Wade the opportunity to join the Sacred Timeline — Wade has other ideas.

This is a sequel to Deadpool 2 and Logan, among other things.

It’s always great to see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Jackman did genuinely decide to quit playing him, but he also then wanted to join Reynolds for this movie.

It’s a worthy film for both Deadpool and Wolverine. It’s funny, clever, and has terrific visuals.

There are fun cameos by Chris Evans and Jon Favreau, among others.

Stars Emma Corrin, Dafne Keen, Channing Tatum, and Jennifer Garner. Directed by Shawn Levy (The Adam Project).
