Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

{5/5} “Am rejoining ranks of London’s employed and meaningfully contributing to society. Can walk with head held high and be role model for Billy and Mabel, saving them from otherwise certain future as alcoholic wards of the state.”

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, released in 2025

Mark was killed four years ago and Bridget is now a single mother, although she occasionally imagines that he’s still there. When she goes out for dinner with the old gang she gets her old friend Daniel to watch the kids. Daniel is dating a young poet/model. Everyone’s giving her conflicting advice, but she’s not interested in finding another man. But if one shows up she might change her mind.

This is the sequel to Bridget Jones’s Baby.

It’s very funny.

It’s about family and friends, grief and love.

Renée Zellweger and Hugh Grant are magnificent.

Colin Firth, Sally Phillips, James Callis, Gemma Jones, Jim Broadbent, and Emma Thompson reprise their roles from previous adventures.

Stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Leo Woodall, and Nico Parker. Directed by Michael Morris (To Leslie).
