Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder, released in 2009
Everyone’s having fun at Mars Vegas, which is owned by Amy’s parents. But Fry finds he can hear people’s thoughts, until he puts on a tin foil hat. He decides he can use his mind reading ability to win a poker tournament. Bender is having an affair with the head of the robot mafia’s wife. He enters the same poker tournament so he can run away with her with the winnings.
It’s about environmentalists vs. industrialists.
There are great parts, but it doesn’t quite add up to a great movie.
Stars the voices of Tress MacNeille, Phil LaMarr, Lauren Tom, and Penn Jillette. Directed by Peter Avanzino (Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs). The music is by Christopher Tyng.
This is the 2nd time I’ve watched it.
This is the last of the Futurama movies. The 4 movies were later retooled into half-hour episodes, which are known as season 5.
The previous movie in the series is Futurama: Bender’s Game.
